The YadaYada Prayer Group Gets Real (a novel) | Neta Jackson | 2005

Just finished reading the Yada Yada Gets real Novel. Had to finish it thru so I can start with another one. Hehe. Not that I got bored but I geeked to know what will happen to the group. And the book didn’t fail me!
I’m actually wishing that I’m also one of their neighbors or at least with Jodi. I wondering if the apartment has three parts or if Stu can just adopt me just for me to able to get into the group. [Alright im talking to myself here. I know many of you can’t relate. A reader’s attitude. Feel me here book addicts. You definitely know what I mean.)
The Yada Yada Prayer group was formed when these women attended a conference. It was a simple group that was formed for the event and after that they were never the same. They got consistent in meeting together, found true relationships and most especially prayed sincerely for each other. They came from different churches, but some attend only one church, Uptown Community Church , but it never bothered them. It was actually a way for them to explore each other lives and beliefs (Btw, all of them are Christians. It’s just that, each church has a different way of introducing their church, their service or even their dress code).
As the story continues, many things about the women’s past were revealed. Jodi, accidentally killed a teen in a car accident, one got an abortion, one  has 3 children from 3 different daddies not even married to anyone, one’s a widow who found a new love, one’s a pagan as she describes herself but surprisingly very consistent in every prayer meeting , one’s a parlor owner , one’s a Japanese , one’s African and one’s a Mexican. (will not name names but I remember which of which. Goodness im so into them haha!) It’s mix of different cultures btw. So, how they stick to each other? Well, they are redeemed by Jesus and they’re doing it for real! In their family, in their community, in their work and even in their nation!
Also, their new member? She’s an ex-con. And her victims? We’ll none other but the women in the Yada Yada prayer group. But that was before and like I said she’s the newest member. How that happened?  We’ll , go figure! :))
Gotta move on now!
PS. Learned how to pray the Scriptures. We’ll im a W.I.P! Work In Progress baby!
RATING:
9 - High level of content! ok, i’ll have a hard time moving on.
